HealKit

Healing frames and click casting for WoW Forever

Party and raid frames in the bronze trim of Forever's new player frame, so they look like Blizzard made them. Your class's heals are already on your mouse buttons when you log in: click a frame, and that player gets the heal.

Try it: heal this party

Pick a healer and keep this party alive through a boss pull. Click a frame to heal it: Left and Right click, with Shift and Ctrl for more spells, close to the setup HealKit gives your class.

Choose your healer

On a computer: Shift + Right always removes the debuff, Ctrl + Right resurrects after the fight. On a phone: tap a spell to pick it, then tap frames to cast it (no spell picked: your first spell). A browser demo with made-up numbers: in game, HealKit picks your spells for your class and level, the middle button gets one too, and you can change any of them.

Click to heal

  • Set up for you. Priests, paladins, druids and shamans start with a suggested setup that upgrades by itself as you learn new ranks.
  • One click per heal. A spell on each mouse button, plain or with Shift, Ctrl, Alt (Option on Mac) or Cmd. Click a frame and the spell lands on that person. No targeting.
  • Ranks your way. An exact rank to save mana, or Highest rank to always cast your best.
  • Mouseover healing. Turn on the mouse wheel or add up to 4 keys: with your cursor on a frame they cast on that person, everywhere else they keep their normal job.
  • Resurrect with the same click on a dead player, out of combat.

Everything a healer needs on each frame

  • Incoming heals in green, so two healers don't land on the same target.
  • Your HoTs on the bar: the healing they still have to give, as a green segment at the end.
  • Overheal in steps: when a heal would be wasted, the end of the bar warms from bronze to copper. Wait, or pick a smaller rank.
  • Debuffs you can remove glow in their color (Magic, Disease, Curse, Poison), only for the types your class can dispel.
  • Aggro glows around anyone a monster is attacking.
  • Shields, range, dead, offline, rez on the way: all on the frame. Health text as a percentage or as missing health, if you want it.
Click your frame: the cost shows on your mana, the incoming heal in green, and the bar fills when it lands.

Buffs in one button

Quick Buff casts the next missing buff on the right person: Fortitude, Arcane Intellect, Mark of the Wild and more, with the group version when enough people need it. Small marks on the frames show who is missing what.

Paladins pick one blessing per class, plus one for tanks and one for healers, and Quick Buff gives every player the right blessing, one click at a time.

Not a healer? Keep only the button with Blizzard's own group frames. It works for any class that buffs.

Feels like part of the game

  • Blizzard's look. The bronze trim from Forever's new player frame, Blizzard's art for shields and icons, and a setup window built from the game's own windows and menus.
  • Ready in minutes. Four tabs: Healing, Buffs, Frames and Details. Frames and Details show a live preview of 5 to 40 players. Open it with /kit or the minimap button.
  • A layout per group size. Big frames for your dungeon group, smaller ones somewhere else in a raid, or HealKit only in raids. It switches by itself when your group changes.
  • Lightweight. Frames update only when something changes, so HealKit does almost nothing between fights, and it loads in under a tenth of a second.

Why I made it

I've healed with the popular healing addons for years. They can do everything, but they take an evening to set up and they don't look like the game. For Forever I wanted something lighter: frames that match the new bronze UI, my heals on my mouse buttons the moment I log in, and a button that sorts out everyone's buffs.

So I built HealKit. It's free, and most of what it does today came from players asking for it. If something's missing or broken, tell me in the CurseForge comments. I read every one.

FAQ

Is HealKit free?

Yes. HealKit is free, with every feature included, and you download it from CurseForge.

Which classes is it for?

Priests, paladins, druids and shamans get a ready-made healing setup on their first login. Any class can put its own spells on the clicks, and Quick Buff works for every class that buffs.

Does click casting work in combat?

Yes. Clicks, keys, glows and icons all work in combat. Setting changes apply when the fight ends, because the game locks them during combat for every addon.

How do I install it?

In the CurseForge app, search for HealKit and click Install. Or download the zip from CurseForge and extract it into the Interface/AddOns folder of your World of Warcraft: Forever game folder. Type /kit in game to open the setup window.

Can I use it just for the frames, without click-healing?

Yes. On the Healing tab, click each slot and pick Clear, then put "Target the player" on Left and "Open the player menu" on Right: clicks work like on Blizzard's frames.

Can I have different frames for dungeons and raids?

Yes. On the Frames tab, click "Per group size". Solo, Party and Raid each get their own size, position and look, and HealKit switches by itself when your group changes.

Can I keep Blizzard's party and raid frames?

Yes: on the Buffs tab, untick "Hide Blizzard's group frames". Or keep them only for parties: on the Frames tab, click "Per group size", open Party and untick "Show HealKit frames".

Which languages?

English and French.

What can't any addon do on Forever?

Forever hides combat numbers from addons, so sorting players by health, an "emergency" view of the lowest player, other healers' HoTs or an exact overheal percentage aren't possible for any addon. HealKit shows overheal in steps instead. Quick Buff works out of combat only.
